Capsule Pinball

A free 3D pinball table with real physics. Launch, flip, and chase a high score.

How to play

  1. Hold Launch (or the Space key) to pull the plunger back. The longer you hold, the harder the shot. Release to fire.
  2. A weak shot falls back down the arch, and a strong one swings all the way around the top of the table.
  3. Use the left and right flippers to bat the ball back up the table. You can hold a flipper up to cradle a ball, then drop it to shoot.
  4. Score on the bumpers, slingshots, targets and lanes. You get three balls per game.
  5. When the ball drains you collect an end-of-ball bonus, then the next ball is served.

The table, part by part

  • Pop bumpers. The three pink mushrooms near the top throw the ball away hard and score every hit.
  • Slingshots. The red triangles above the flippers kick the ball back into play when it hits their inner face.
  • Top lanes. Roll the ball through all three lit lanes to raise your bonus multiplier, up to ×5.
  • Side targets. Two banks of three targets sit on the side walls. Clear a bank for 5,000 points and to light the gacha saucer.
  • The gacha saucer. Drop the ball in the middle hole to open a prize capsule. A lit saucer pays more and can award an extra ball.
  • Outlanes and the drain. The channels beside the flippers and the gap between them lose the ball, so keep it up in play.

Tips

  • Flip when the ball reaches the outer half of the flipper. Hitting it too close to the pivot sends it sideways instead of up.
  • Let a ball roll down an inlane onto a raised flipper, then release to make a gentle, accurate shot.
  • Go for the side target banks first: they light the saucer, which is the fastest way to a big score.
  • Use a nudge to push a ball away from an outlane, but go easy. Too many nudges tilt the table.

Frequently asked questions

How do I play this pinball game?

Hold the Launch button or the Space key to pull back the plunger, then let go to fire the ball up the right-hand lane. Once it is in play, use the left and right arrow keys (or Z and the slash key) to swing the flippers and keep the ball from draining. On a phone or tablet, use the Left, Launch and Right buttons under the table, or tap the left and right halves of the table.

Is this pinball game free?

Yes. It is free to play, with no signup, no payment and nothing to download. It runs entirely in your browser and your best score is saved on your device.

How does scoring work?

Pop bumpers score 100 and slingshots 25. Each stand-up target scores 250, and clearing a bank of three targets on one side scores 5,000. Rolling the ball through the three top lanes scores 500 each, and lighting all three raises your bonus multiplier up to ×5, which multiplies every score after it. When a ball drains you also collect an end-of-ball bonus based on what you completed.

What is the gacha saucer?

It is the round hole in the middle of the table. If the ball rolls into it, the machine holds the ball and pops open a prize capsule worth bonus points. Clearing a side bank of targets lights the saucer, and a lit saucer opens bigger capsules and has a small chance of an extra ball.

What does tilt mean?

You can nudge the table with X (left), the period key (right) and the up arrow to save a ball that is heading for the drain. Nudge too often and the table tilts: the flippers go dead and the ball scores nothing until it drains. Two quick nudges is the limit before the warning.

What is ball save?

For the first few seconds after you launch each ball, a drained ball is returned to the plunger so you can try again. It only works once per ball and switches off after a few seconds.

Can I share my score?

Yes. Press Share my score during or after a game to copy a link (or open your phone share sheet). The link opens a score card showing your points, rank, bumper hits, targets, banks cleared, capsules opened and best multiplier, and shows as a picture preview when you paste it into a chat or social post.

Is the physics real?

Yes. The ball, the hinged flippers, the bumpers and the walls are simulated with a rigid-body physics engine, and the table is drawn from a tilted 3D camera. Nothing about where the ball goes is scripted, so every game plays out differently.
