Claw Machine
Line up the claw, drop into the heap, and carry a prize to the chute. Real physics, free tokens.
How to play
- Drag across the machine, or hold the arrow buttons, to move the claw over a prize.
- Press DROP. The claw lowers with its fingers open and sinks into the heap.
- The fingers close, the claw lifts, and it carries its catch back to the chute on the left.
- Prizes that fall into the chute are yours and pay tokens. Each play costs one token.
What makes the grab work
- Hinged arms and a motor. Each arm swings on a hinge. A motor closes it with limited torque, so a heavy prize can push the arm open if the grip is too weak.
- Friction and shape. Rubber tips grip well on flat boxes, less on smooth capsules. Fingers that hook under a prize hold it by shape as well as by friction.
- The heap. Prizes pile up, push each other and settle. Pulling one out can topple others, and the claw sometimes drags a neighbour along.
- Restocking. When the machine runs low on prizes, a fresh batch drops in from above.
Frequently asked questions
How does a claw machine work?
A gantry moves the claw over the prizes. When you press drop, the claw lowers on a cable with its fingers open, the fingers close, and the claw lifts and carries whatever it caught to the prize chute, where the fingers open again and the prize drops out.
Is this claw machine rigged?
No. Nothing is scripted or pre-decided. Every prize is a simulated rigid body with its own weight, shape and friction, and the claw is a pair of hinged arms driven by motors with a limited torque. Whether a grab holds or slips is simply physics.
What does grip strength change?
Easy, Normal and Hard change how hard the arms squeeze while carrying a prize to the chute. The closing motion is the same in every mode, so it is the same machine every time you play. A weaker grip lets heavy or slippery prizes slide out on the way.
Which prizes are easiest to grab?
Soft plush toys are light but round, so the fingers have to cup them under the middle. Gacha capsules are small and slippery. Gift boxes have flat sides that the fingers grip well. The golden capsule is worth the most but is heavy and smooth.
How do I win more often?
Line the claw up over the middle of a prize near the top of the heap, wait for the arms to settle open, and drop. Prizes sitting loose on top are easier than ones buried in the pile, and sometimes a good push nudges a prize toward the chute even if you do not grab it.
Is it free?
Yes. You play with virtual tokens that have no cash value, and you can borrow more for free when you run out. There is no signup and no payment.
